Do ‘WLAN’ and ‘Wi-Fi’ mean the same thing?
Question: Do 'WLAN' and 'Wi-Fi' mean the same thing? If yes,then is there any way that will allow me to share my internet connection to other devices using my PC? I access internet on my PC using a datacard.
Answer: Both Wi-Fi (wireless fidelity) and WLAN (wireless local area network) mean the same - they both refer to a wireless network that can transfer data at high speeds. Since you connect to the internet using a data card, your Wi-Fi can be used to create a Wi-Fi hotspot to share the data connection with other devices.
